This Rare wood is known as A’ali’i Hard and dense with a tight grain. This heavy wood is a favorite of mine. The colors are rich and Varied And polishes to a hi sheen. This is my 3 barbed traditional makau. Wrapped with a strong adjustable nylon cord that out lasts leather hemp and cotton.
