Notes: Ebony is the only wood I use that is not from the Islands. The qualities of this wood make it one of my favorites to work with. It’s very strong and durable and so dense that it sinks in water. Polishes to a very high gloss.

A Koru depicts a fern frond opening meaning new life and new beginnings. In Hawaii its called the Piko or ancestral line. The cord I used is a waxed nylon cord which is much stronger and more durable then hemp leather or cotton.
